The Chicago Cubs are suing the two men who can frequently be seen hanging around Wrigley Field before and after games wearing bear cub costumes and hustling fans for tips. The character has come to be know as "Billy Cub" by fans over the years. The men, John Paul Weier and Patrick Weier, didn't help their case earlier this year when the unofficial mascot was involved in a bar fight near the stadium.
The Chicago Cubs legal team told WGN the unofficial mascot damages the team's goodwill and is misleading fans. Not to mention the fact that they have their own mascot.
