SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD PROGRAM FOR EAST VALLEY RESIDENTS
East
Valley residents in need of food can now get some additional assistance. Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank is
now offering a Supplemental Food Bag to the first 50 families in need, every
Friday from 1:00 - 3:00 pm (or when supplies run out).
Residents
will need to show a photo ID to receive the free food bag. The supplemental
food bag is in addition to the regular Emergency Food Box that is available to those
in need once a month. Their hope
is that the program will help those in need receive extra assistance in feeding
their families. The supplemental
food bags will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. There will only be 50 food bags
available each Friday afternoon.
Matthew’s
Crossing Food Bank is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides
emergency food assistance to residents in the East Valley. The food bank provides food once a
month to anyone who registers with a government issued picture ID. Matthew’s Crossing currently provides
assistance to over 3000 people in the East Valley every month. The Food Bank is
located at 1368 N. Arizona Ave, Suite 115 Chandler, AZ 85225.
The
Food Bank is open for monthly Emergency Food Boxes Monday through Friday from
9:00 am – noon, and the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9:00 am – noon. The Supplemental Food Box program is
available every Friday from 1:00-3:00 pm.
