My husband is an amazing man. A few years ago I had a major loss in my family. My sister Irma left behind 2 beautiful boys ages 4 and 10. My husband and I were 21 years old at the time. Without hesitation my husband agreed to take on the responsibility of raising these 2 boys. They came to us with no belongings and we were forced to start from scratch. They would need to be enrolled in school and would need clothes and shoes. My husband took care of all their needs with no complaint. After a few months in court we were awarded guardianship. Please understand that I was going through some medical problems at that time. We were unable to conceive a child of our own and the chances were slim. After a year in our care I was forced to have a hysterectomy so we were never able to have a biological child. Today my husband is the sole provider for our family. He works long hours in the sun everyday so that I can stay at home and take care of our 2 boys. He is also their football coach and volunteers his time after work and on weekends to be involved in their extra cirricular activities. He is at all their fundraisers and on every sideline holding chains. Today the eldest is 14,the youngest is 8 and we will be 25. I think my husband deserves being recognized as a hero. Not only did he help these children when they so deserved it, but he continues everyday to provide, support, and care for us.
