Melissa Chavez is a true hero. She has been my peer for both Visual Arts: 1 and Yearbook Production. I have enjoyed having her as my peer helper for two years! In addition, Melissa has been there for me when I’ve needed help or even simply when I need someone to talk to. She is very respectful and acceptive of my disability. As for community service, Melissa is involved with Chaparral Best Buddies. She is Vice President for our chapter. Melissa has a real love for special education students and whenever I am around her I experience it. Melissa ultimately is a real hero. Please give her this honor since deserves it 100%.
