I am nominating my mom, Tami because she has been my hero for many years. When my sister and I were growing up she struggled through a bad marriage but still managed to take care of our needs before hers. Now that she is remarried to a wonderful man she goes above and beyond her responsibilites. My mom is an Army Wife and she takes her callings very seriously. She makes sure the families back home are taken care of as well as the soldiers in Iraq. She sends packages to EVERY soldier in my step-dad's unit, which is about 135 soldiers. She bakes cookies for them all about once a month and she was sure that every soldier got a Christmas present and a Valentines card. She loves our country so much and she especially supports our troops more than others that we've come in contact with. My mom is my hero because she demonstrates to everyone around her that kindness is still an important characteristic to have.
