To start out with Mr. Britton is an amazing Guidance counselor. He has helped me and my family so much within this year. Im a junior at Desert Edge high school, Britton helped me with planning a way to graduate on time. I was a drop out and came back to prove myself wrong, plus show everyone around me im more than just some drop out. He is like a step dad to me, was there for me when I needed someone to talk to. We have alot in common and been threw some of the same stuff. If it wasn't for him I would have not gotten were I am today. I am graduating on time cause of his help and support. He was with me threw thick and thin. Came to my fathers funeral, got me transportation to and from school, got me free lunch, helped me find a place to live. I live with my step brother and his family. We are so greatful to have him helping us with everything. Its my last year at Desert Edge, if i could just give back what he gave to me I so would! He is my hero because he made me see life in a new way, and to look at things with a different point of view. Gave me hope and faith in myself. Im so thankful for everything he has done. I started there at Desert Edge with 4.5 credits, at the end of this year I'll have 16 credits. I'm going to Skyline West Prep cause you only need 22 credits to graduate. Just sad to leave not only my counselor but my best friend, my HERO! -this is for you mr.britton, thanks for everything, a 2nd chance at life really.- Sincerely, Alayna Joyy
